Why can’t Medium pay Indian users when Vocal can (both use Stripe)?

OK, so I’m a little irked right now because I’m a paying member of Medium but I cannot make any money from Medium’s partner program because I stay in India and it’s not yet on the list of supported countries by Medium.

Although Stripe has support for India and I was able to successfully create an account, it is in preview mode.

I’m not sure why that makes a difference especially when Vocal is able to use Stripe to make payments to Indian users.

I’d strongly suggest that the Medium team look into this issue because I love this platform but I would also like to earn by contributing to it.
